19 of Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been earned on hardcourt
A comeback Daniil Medvedev secured his initial trophy for over two years with success over Corentin Moutet in the competition title decider.
The Russian, a former number one, has had a difficult season, winning just a single victory at the major tournaments and suffering a difficult moment at the American major.
His unpredictability on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serve in especial - led to him exiting of the top ten and ultimately parting ways with former mentor Cervara.
Presently working with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently improved in the past month - culminating in a closely contested competitive triumph over opponent Moutet.
It is the player's first title following the Rome competition and initial on a hard court from March of the previous year.
Success also means the Russian has achieved twenty-one victories at 21 various events.
"For the first time I have attended a tournament with my both daughters at once, so to get a championship is particularly special," stated world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in tribute of my second daughter my daughter, because the first title I achieved when my older daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had been defeated in his last six finals, featuring in Halle previously this season.
Medvedev's retrieving play style and regular reactions on the tennis court had led observers to doubt if his capacity to perform at the top level was over.
But the 29-year-old has altered his approach in recent weeks, making an effort to advance forward and compete assertively, supported by an improved serve.
Medvedev came back from a disadvantage in the first set against the tricky opponent, securing 4 of the last five points to take the lead.
Both players traded service breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, bidding for his maiden ATP Tour championship, took control to force a decider.
The opponent saved four initial break points in a competitive final set before the Russian broke to that score to serve for the match.
Appropriately, he secured victory with a rally at the net area, with his opponent failing to handle a return after a lengthy match.
